Fifty years ago my parents gave this to me new as a Christmas present. Serial number 835243, which places its production between June 1972 and October 1973.Comes with one mouthpiece--my favorite--which is a Holton Farkas in great shape. The blue rubber 10-speed bicycle lever covers have been on since 1976 which I put on as the levers had a tendency to slip otherwise.I loved the horn and looked after it with great care, and loved its ability to project when I wanted and then go dark when necessary. I preferred it to my buddy's 8D at the time, but that was then. My interest in the horn faded going into college, but I kept it in case I joined an orchestra or, optimistically, if a child wanted to pick it up. My son has no interest and as much as I love it, it will be better used than becoming an antique.The original case had the cr#$ beat out of it from band bus trips, and was replaced with (ironically) an 8D case. These days much nicer padded cases are available, but it will ship in the Conn case for protection.
